Bought the hall effect gimbals and they work well; if you want to use these with a DIY project, the color coding for the wires on mine was: red -> Vin (3.3V) yellow -> Ground black -> analog Vout/signal I've included a labeled screenshot showing this on the hall sensor's pins.
