These came packed in a plastic tray held in a bag. Not well protected, but considering they're silicone pads, they don't need much protection. The pads are very sticky. I made two flat surfaces with hooks that I sandwiched one gel pad between and clamped it shut overnight at +18C. The next day, I tried pulling them apart; my scale measured around 65lbs when my testing rig broke, leaving the gel pad stuck between the flat surfaces. I eventually got it free by slowly prying the flat surfaces apart
