1st off, insanely good deal, well worth the wait. I ordered 20 cool and 20 warm white. True 10W LED's. Secondly, I am going to answer the questions I had a hard finding through the listing/reviews. They're as bright as everyone says and you won't be disappointed. They will run over 10W, so long as you have very good cooling and a CONSTANT CURRENT DEVICE of some sort. Led's get hot instantly with no cooling and would not reccommend running power through them. I used ( 40mm X 40mm X 11mm ) heat sinks and ( 40mm X 40mm X 10mm ) 12V fans. Without the fan, the heat sink reaches about 120 deg F / 50 deg C within about a minute when recieving 10W (full power). With the fan, which is about .5 watt, and pushes about 6.5 cfm/180 lpm, the heat sink stayed steady at about 100(+or-5) deg F / 38(+or-3) deg C over the course of about an hour and a half at 10W (full power). All tests were done in a room of about 84 deg F / 29 deg C. If you don't have much understanding of this, what you need to know/understand is that you can have a much smaller heat sink if you introduce active cooling, but with passive cooling, you will need something much larger than what I am using. I used thermal glue rather than thermal paste so that I didn't have to tap holes. Used clear silicone to mount fans to heat sink, also fans are pushing into the heat sink, NOT pulling. Also, these LED's seem to like 970ma at 10.6V, a little more than 10W, but this is what I ran my tests at. With led+fan it liked 1020ma at 10.6V, which is about 10.8W. Remember the current-voltage relationship of these high power LED's is exponential, so trying to run over 11V, let alone 12V will demand much more current and power than the chip is rated for. They dim nicely. Very pleased with quick, free delivery. The LEDs are extremely bright, but they MUST be mounted on a decent Heat Sink to help dissipate the heat .. When powered by Lithium Ion cells, they make excellent , efficient torches . As the price is now lower, I may soon buy more. I am a happy customer.
