This doesn't matter to me as I never keep power tools in the cases provided (most cases are rubbish). The chuck wobbles slightly when rotating, which is really not very good. However, a replacement chuck is inexpensive and no bother to replace. Overall: For the price it's a good little purchase - but don't expect DeWalt standards of craftsmanship, finish and quality control - you certainly won't get that for this price. I use this as a general, scruffy jobber power drill. I have another better quality drill I reserve for those moments when everyday precision drilling is required.
