They are tiny and cheap very good for arduino tinkering, ordered 10 and all tested ok, couple of them got the ftdi pins slightly bended during delivery but was just a matter of using a small plier to straight them.

This is obviously a pretty cheap production. The pins were a bit stiff to get into my breadboard, and the board looks like a cheap production. But it works, and it's a "real" arduino, so who's to complain? If you're having problems with connecting these to a computer, especially to a mac, it's because you need to install the correct drivers for the cheaper USB-to-serial chip that they use on this clone to make it cheaper. The chip is called CH340G (you can read it from under the Nano). The solution that worked best for me is here: http://blog.sengotta.net/signed-mac-os-driver-for-winchiphead-ch340-serial-bridge/

This is a good value. It provides UNO pins and additionally two more analog input pins, A6 & A7, in a small form factor. This 5V board will be easy to mount in a breadboard to make external connections, and could easily be wired in place for a more permanent project using a lot less space than an UNO. Recommend buying one to assure you can set up your system to communicate with the CH340G USB chip, and then buy more!

I was worried this would be lost during the long way from Guangzhou to Bolivia (over 19.000 km) but every little thing was fine. The package was firmly padded containing inside the five pieces each one within a plastic bag. Next and definitive step was testing its performance for which I've heard complaints about the connectivity with computers. I have to say it took me about 3 min to find the right driver for the right UART (there's the CH340 and the FT232R versions) and get it working with the Arduino IDE. The only inconvenience was the sweet time it took to arrive at my country, but the price and the quality make up for it.

The Nano is a great product for breadboarding or for building into projects because of its small size and low cost. The boards I received work well. Using the CH340G means an extra step (installing the driver) the first time you connect one to your computer, but it also means a much lower price than a board with an authentic FTDI chip, and more reliable operation than one with a fake FTDI chip. -1 point to appearance because the on-board LEDs were inconsistent. All work, but one is a different color and the brightness varies.

First, just a reminder - you need driver from: http://wch.cn/downloads.php?name=pro&proid=5 I ordered 25 for class and was checking them to make sure. The first one I checked failed and that prompt me to check every single one. The result: 4 out of 25 are bad. Problem ranging from: 1. Unknown Device - PC recognized a USB device being attached but do not know what kind. 2. No Action: PC does not even a USB device is being attached. 3. Not in sync. PC recognized the Nano and allocated COM5. But when try to upload a program, I receive the error message: avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00 I will see what Banggood would do and report back. For now, just plan ahead and take the fail rate into your order and expecting 16% of your order could be bad. * I will cross post this in my blog just to make sure the message persist.
