For this money, currently the best flashlight that is easy to put in your pocket. But when you need it, make a day out of the dark. This is already my second EC01, but this one has an SST40 LED. In my experience regarding general use and lamp size, the XHP50.2 LED fits it much better, due to the wider beam and higher brightness. If you need a lamp for a longer range it is better to take Astrolux FT03 classic or mini.
Ordered the 6000-6500k tint and the 5000k tint. The CW version isn't too cool (at least for the sample I got), estimate may be 5700k color temperature. But sort of a disappointment is that the 5000k tint looks exactly the same as the CW tint (maybe 5700k too). No difference at all in color temperature for the "6000-6500k" vs the "5000k" tint.
Cool flashlight, gives very much light, comparable to the L6 convoy, has my favorite UI, namely anduril ui in which you can set everything up your way, loads up after a type C USB, It has a battery charge indicator that also acts as a locator in the dark. The cool thing is that you can use more efficient cells 21700 as well as in emergencies 18650. I recommend.
The flashlight makes a very good impression. It is solidly made. It shines very well and has smooth regulation of light intensity.
Second purchase for 5000K. Previous was 6500K. Both tint are almost similar. Maybe both around 5700K. If second purchase. Quality need not to further explain.
I prefer throwers but wanted to add a good small flood leaning flashlight. This is great, lots of light pouring out especially on turbo and giving a good flood for this size! Has some throw with it too! It does have a green tint but I don't mind that and it disappears at hi output. My second Astrolux and the fit and finish is very nice. Some pics attached...night pics in light rain. This for me is a great edc that leans about 60/40 on the flood side. Turbo will get hot. Very satisfied.
awesome, i like ec01.
Sent in half a month, in perfect external and working condition. Included: shoelace, rubber rings and adapter on the 18th accumulator. The lantern strikes with its size and power! In the hand almost not felt, but shines on fresh high-streamed 21st cans, at a peak of at least 4000 lumens! The turbo warms quickly and also rapidly decreases brightness ~ 2 times. But thanks to "Andúril" the stepdown can be adjusted by setting the t° at least 100° and then it will be reset later ~ in 1-2 minutes, but with overheating! By the way, on 18 banks, even high-flow banks, the lantern shines a maximum of ~ 2500 lumens, probably because of insufficient capacity of such. When the battery is leaking, it is lowered and max. brightness (turbo), means no stabilization. Despite the mint reflector, it shines with a pronounced hot spot, with a good lateral illumination ~ at 150-200 meters. The light temperature is about 5.5 K, although he ordered 6-6.5 Q! The reflector and the lens are clean, without dust inside, but the glass itself is without anti-glare and resistance to dust. Lantern and seller are excellent - I recommend to buy!
Super latarka😍😍😍😍
Some photos of my EC01, My third Astrolux light (and my 4th with Anduril). It's also my first XHP50B LED and Dayum it's a big un! Beam shots set at 200 ISO and WB at 5000k There's a noticeable greenish tint shift at lower levels from the centre spot (not quite as noticeable as in my picture but still obvious, also not an issue when used outside). Interesting little light, probably a good dog walking light and, as expected, it gets hot on Turbo quite quickly. My FW3A is still gonna be my edc pocket carry but I'll be giving the EC01 plenty of use walking the dog in the local woods. 🌲🌲🐺🚶♂️🌲🌲🔦☀️🌲🌲🌲🔥🧯🤦♂️🤷♂️🔦🔦🔦😁
