I was waiting for them to make this product and release it, having used the USB-A to USB-C cable with the wattage readout. I just received 3 of these new cables and they work great. I think that the wattage readout is very useful, giving me information that is helpful while being simple - I can easily guess the state of charge of a device by how much the watts have dropped and if I'm in a hurry I can see if the device is nearly fully charged without waiting for some LED on the device to turn green. I have a couple of Samsung chargers that don't have USB-A output, only USB-C and one is a 45W charger, being able to see the wattage up to 45W is great, these cables are exactly what I was wanting. The wattage readout works fine regardless of which end you plug into the charger, it doesn't give any indication of which way the current is flowing, but I don't think I ever need that information.
