Heated bed on my Ender 3 was a bit warped, so even after leveling some points were a bit higher/lower than the others, which affected adhesion for some prints. With a flat glass bed like this, paired with BL Touch auto leveling, no issues any more. Just put it on your original heated bed and clamp it with some paper clips / clamps (watch for the extruder head movement to not interfere with these) and you are ready to go. Upper side of the plate where is Creality logo has a sort of texture and I am using this side for my prints. Bottom side is flat glass surface, I guess you can use it too, for smooth first layer, but probably will need some coating (glue, hair spray or such) to improve adhesion.
