By alexi26/07/2018Giving 12V, taking 5V, and drawing these currents from the output, the device temperature was getting at:
2.20A >100°C
1.52A 75.6°C
1.04A 56.6°C
Room temperature was at 27°C.
This is without any heat sink (and with low heat dissipation through the soldered leads (the amount of which is 4), because I made them not thick).
You will keep it in a somewhat better conditions if either the current will not be so high or you'd make a thermal contact of it with some colder plate.
