I have a hs1177 cam and I was not happy with the image quality and was ready to buy a new cam but decided to get this lens after reading all the other positive reviews and I'm glad I did it's a perfect fit and the improved image quality over the standard lens is very noticeable giving more crisp detail especially of leaves which is super important as I'm a freestyle junky and love playing with trees the lens is much larger than the original allowing more light to get to the sensor and it looks the

The item itself is good and genuine, accurate description. But the package is really weak considered it is camera lens. Should be packed in a box or something.
