tried peppers ,i had to cut the pepper in quater to fit it in .i might aswel cut the whole thing up myself .. and it did not cut anything it got jammed ..it pushed the pepper out towards the edge .the blade is too short it needed to be closer to the edge for it to have a chance to cut ..as you can see by the picture ..look how short the blade is in from the cup
