    It looks like a watch and comes in a handy plastic case like a wrist-watch... But in fact its a development platform for ESP32 applications with color-display and acceleration sensor and its own Lipo inside. Arduino code with ESP32 libraries should fit in. So its the perfect platform for standalone ESP32 devices such as Smarthome Status, OBD2 Car Displays etc. And perhaps - some people might even use it as a watch... Great little hardware, nicely made - good value!

    A tinkerer's watch. You'll need to do some work yourself to make this into the watch you want. Hardware is nice, though there are concerns about the longevity of the bands and rear cover. There is an active development scene on GitHub. The documentation needs a bit more work as it is pretty sparse. If LilyGo would release a schematic that would enable a greater understanding of the hardware. As for modifications: There's almost enough space to install Qi wireless charging in the back of the device. There are two gpios, and 1 gpi usable on the ESP32 itself, and the Axp202 pmu has two open drain gpios free. You'll need to do some micro soldering to get at these though.

    It's a nice, cheap watch. With a little effort, one can make it a nice useful item for everyday life, which can last for four days without charging. I wrote code for it to display a set of Back-to-the-future watchfaces. More details and download/installation instructions re posted on my blog:

    From order to receiving the watch 9 weeks. This ESP32 based smart watch is a good starting tp makers and tinkerers. The software is very basic, but i am porting my own apps to it shortly. The battery is npt going to last long, only short operating times recomended. I think it is wort the price :)

    Order arrived in 19 days, well packaged and undamaged. Demo app not much, but you can upload apps yourself, or develop your own. You can see it next to other watch by known brand for comparison.

    Great product! Functionality is as expected and it is a major boon for DIY. I'm using micropython to develop a firmware for it and it's been a lovely experience. The screen is EXTREMELY bright, which is great, it has a 2MB spi RAM chip and 4 MB (at least) of flash , so it is possible to use the ESP32 to its full power. Autonomy is sufficent when using the power saving features. Vibration is strong enough, and I havent tested the speaker yet. On the picture, this is the screen with about one of the lowest brightness you can get.

    Very funny for nerd programmer as me, totally unuseful as is for non programmer, so this must be clearly understood before buy. The battery has low authonomy, but it's easy swappable with easy foundable spares. Good display, wifi, general manufacturing. Highly recommended

    All preliminary tests successful. I installed the built environment on a Windows 10 PC, then compiled and loaded the program LVGL/lvgl_button as suggested by the paper manual. This programs displays 2 touch buttons and reports the events to the serial console via USB. Note : This is a T-Watch 2020 V1, you have to update this info in config.h for every example program. Note : This program tests only one function, it does not enable the power management so you cannot switch the watch off. In order to regain control over the battery, I compiled and loaded a more complete demo LVGL/SimpleWatch. This one enables the power button and the battery status widget. It also allows to test the WiFi connection and the NTP sync (network time) over WiFi. Then the watch displays time accurately, but in the China timezone (see picture)! This is hardcoded, but easy to change (#define RTC_TIME_ZONE in gui.cpp). The next step is to get rid of the Arduino IDE, which is not efficient to manage large software projects like this one. But I recognize that the Arduino kit is very comfortable for a quick easy start.

    Looks ok, but it is usable as-is. Only buy if you want to tinker with the software. But for tinkering with the software... it is really cool! It has a bunch of useful IC-s, and all of them (maybe except the axp202) are well documented online. I'm using it with Micropython.
