A nice little unit for a range of voltages. The output voltage is accurate +/- 1 on the last digit. Use a calibrated voltmeter if you need an accurate voltage but the display is good for reminding you of the setting (eg 3.3 V, 5 V or 9 V). The button switches the display between input voltage and output voltage. Quiescent current is approximately 25 mA. At 12V in and 5.0V @ 500 mA out the IC stays cold, without an additional heat sink. At 5.0 V & 500 mA my scope shows that the output has a 0.5V ~ 10 KHz triangle wave on it -- so additional filtering is definitely indicated. The switching waveform on the output is quite interesting so if you have a scope I suggest using it. Good value if used appropriately.
