Been using this with couple different type holders for two weeks in my Optimum D180 lathe. The holders lock solidly and they keep the set height. Very satisfied! For opti D180 you need to bore out the provided riser block or make a new one from some scrap steel. The provided bolt was ok although I am using it upside down. If you do make a new riser block make it a little wider and a few millimeters lower than the provided one. Mine is 10mm thick and I have a couple mm of downward adjustment left; go 8mm or a little below on the thickness.
