This third hand does everything you want. It is generally well made and I am happy with my purchase. Their are 2 things you should know before you buy: with the magnifier and light attached it can be top heavy so hopefully you can place something in the center as ballast. Also, the alligator clips are covered only with thermal shrink wrap insulation and the teeth break through quite easily, as seen in my picture. I will wrap each clip again before using it to hold a PCB
