While I have not yet used the device for measurement on a project, I can say it is well made, stainless steel, no plastic or "carbon fibre" rule makes it easy to use with repeatable results. The tips of the measuring jaws are well machined, the digital readout can swap between imperial and metric display. The display is not backlit; but has large digits and a clear display, which is easy to read. My impression is this is a good tool and will serve you well. It also comes with a spare battery and operation information.
