The unit is not designed for outdoor use at least not the solar panel. The advert shows the unit installed on a pole with brackets. I now need to make another bracket... Not sure if the panel itself can be used outside... Delivered with plastic frame on solar panel intended for inside window position.

I installed one of these on my roof, but it only works for about 1-2 hours. After that it has a useless small amount of light. Definitely would not recommend it. It turns on at about 5pm and I can barely see directly below it after 7 pm.
