The item does comes with the backing velcro (not listed in the item description) however the (fake) 3M glue is a bit poor and took some clamping to get it to properly adhere. That aside the eyepiece better than stock and some of the other aftermarket ones as it features better padding around the brow and nose creating a better (and more comfortable) seal. The headstrap is pretty comfortable, rather than being heavily elasticated like the original FS one you use the velcro to pull the strap tight.
