The Ultra Bright Aluminum Alloy Flashlight with a color head first impressed me with its ability to show various cascades of red, green, blue and amber lights below its head that displayed in various forms, almost a Christmas tree ☃️🎄 in a flashlight! And in that it excels. It also has a standard head with an unremarkable bright, medium and low—and a flash in a spotlight that I suppose can be used for camping, though not my first choice. I would prefer to use my Sofirn SC33 or even my Q8 for that, though the Ultra Bright can be hanged from above, showing soft yellow (amber) and other color light bright enough to read by, and that may be reason alone enough to buy the light. __On the negative side, the flashlights (I bought three) came taped together, detracting from my intent of giving them as gifts. Who wants to give boxes with packing tape all over them? It ruins the whole experience. __Bottom line: The bright setting isnt very bright, and the spotlight effect doesnt give an impressive flood or throw. The light can be hung from the top of the tent for reading, which is a plus, though you may want to go for the non-color version for that. If youre going to give these lights as gifts, you may want to find something else. I was going to give them as gifts, but with tape all over them, forget it! (I tried untaping it, but it left sticky remnants that are impossible to remove.) There are better lights out there. One other consideration. If you want this light, you may opt for a better battery. Its an okay light, but the color one is pretty much for kids or adults who are still kids.
