I find this to be a very good tool for weeding as well as planting out. The blade is reasonably thick so does not bend like some of the thinner ones do. However, the converse of this is that it does not always fit into the crack, that you want to weed. I would recommend this tool. If you want it to be very sharp, then you will need to sharpen and hone it before use, but I find that it is fine as it comes.
