This thing kicks ass, but keeps frying my ESCs. I got the 2200kV version without really understanding what I was picking. Higher kV means higher RPM and higher electrical demands. I have burnt through two 30A ESCs already since it really needs a bigger speed controller, but when I use 1400kV motors of the same size I am always disappointed by their power. I fly bigger planes and 220kV gives me power to spare when pulling loops and other high rev maneuvers, where a similar 1050kv motor stalls out midway and can't really pull the plane up and over with confidence. Burning out ESCs is a pain, but I'm hooked on the punch that the 2200kV packs. When I hit the throttle to climb into a loop, the torque of the acceleration can be enough to roll the plane entirely over. It's like having a couple of extra higher gears to switch into.
