CreepyCrawlie gears in the gearbox are plastic, but very durable, have yet to break a single gear. driveshafts are also plastic but very tough. axles are metal and the gears on the axles are also metal. axle housing and the hexes are plastic but also very durable.

ElAdo The servo is bigger and you can't change the gearing because the motor mount is not adjustable.
