I received this expansion kit, before the SCULPFUN S9 arrived. The kit is very well packet. You get 4 y-axis belts, of which 2 are spare ones, 2 y-axis rails, assembly manual/sketch and an extension cable. This cable has to replace the factory installed cable on the SCULPFUN S9 laser machine, because it is much longer in length. Remove the cover on the controller, via the 4 pan head cap screws, on the rear side. Remove the cable, which has a blue, red, white and blue JST-PH and JST XH plugs. Keep this cable in a safe place. Install the new cable and fit the cover. Thats all.

This consumables kit is a very nice product to have. I selected a 0.8 mm collet size and was supplied with 12 of them. There is also two gas shields supplied with the brass inner nozzle assembly.

This item does not come with a battery. The battery size is a number CR2032. The scale reading in degrees is very sensitive and an ideal tool for anybody to use. It is shipped in a box and the item is packed inside a nylon pouch. The pouch has two cords on the open end and can be hung op for storage. Thank you Banggood.

This is an ideal tool to have. The holder has a magnet inside it,which prevents the various bits,from falling out. The holder is machined from aluminium and has a removable cap,which enables a few,not all bits included,to be stored inside it. This X-axis upgrade it very good on the Sculpfun S9 and higher speeds can be used, to maintain the same level of accuracy. Very well made and easy to install. Please ensure that you use the supplied extension cable, which reverses the direction of the X-axis stepper motor. This is very important and easy to forget to use.

Q: will it cut lite-ply and balsa wood?

hawkt45 Hello Chris Yes, this laser will easily cut balsa wood and plywood. I would suggest that you purchase an air assist nozzle, for the laser head. This can be 3D printed on any 3D printer and you will have to use an air supply of 35 Ltrs per min. Go online and you`ll see what i am refering to? I build RC planes, so this laser is perfect for wing ribs etc. You won`t be sorry, if you buy it.

Very good product and highly recommended for RC Electric powered gliders. They are supplied with a propeller hub and mounting bracket. These have a 3.17 mm diameter shaft (1/8").
