TheNewbie I ordered this power bank last November. I left is sitting in a window thinking it would be fully charged whenever I needed it. I didn't worry about over charging since the unit is intended to be charged by solar power and only charges a small amount via the sun.I went to use it today and the unit looks like the batteries exploded. The entire unit looks like someone blew up a balloon inside of it. Solar panel warped and cracked, the case is bulging and cracked.It appears batteries failed.

This unit hasn't lived up to my expectations. I noticed unit didn't seem to charge much before running out of juice so I decided to perform a test. As a test, using a USB tester, I attempted to charge an older iPad. After fully charging the power bank the USB tester stopped at 4,400mAh. I expected something closer to the 10,000mAh (maybe 8-9,000mAh). I plan to test a few more times but this unit seems to be able to charge my iPhone5 a few times before running out of juice (supporting the 4,400mAh I measured above).
