Q: Are the threads M8x1 or M8x1.25?

rappleto Using the Measure tool in GIMP on the closeup of the threads, it would appear that they are M8x1.25 which seems to be a common size in the charts, though every M8 bolt I have (a dozen or so assorted) has 1.0 mm pitch.

These arrived in good shape. Using them I was not able to get the broken steel bolt out of the alloy transmission case, and had to resort to drilling it out until little more than the bolt thread remained, and was able to chisel that out, and clean up the threads with a tap. Surprisingly that went very well.
