BG453745513 What gas is best for this plasma cutter will depend on material and thickness being cut. Compressed air is commonly used in many shops - it needs to be well filtered and DRY for best results and best expendables life. Other compressed gases are also used as well, depending on the material the being cut. Nitrogen is also commonly used, as well as oxygen or argon hydrogen blend - the material being cut determines best gas selection. Compressed air may seem inexpensive but a medium to large air compressor is needed for suitable CFM flow, as well as a filters and possibly a refrigerated air dryer.
