ThaJDJ 110v is AC. This is a DC motor. AC can be converted to DC, but this motor can not be directly connected to 110v

GizmoStu ThaJDJ. You misunderstand the specification. This unit is designed to work from a 240V household socket rated in the uk at 13A therefore the maximum power that can be consumed is about 3KW The 250A part of the spec refers to secondary or Welding current not primary or mains current. The voltage is reduced and the current regulated to make up to 250A possible at around 12.48V. Welding needs high current not high voltage. Hope this helps? GizmoStu
