For slicing, I just use the latest version of Cura. Get a Raspberry Pi and load OctoPrint on it and you can easily access your printer from anywhere on your network and even over the internet if you are handy with public DNS and rules on your router. It is inexpensive, reasonably easy to assemble following the printed directions and YouTube videos. I have run the original one pretty hard, using it for printing ABS, Carbon Fiber Poly Carbonate, where my other printers are mostly relegated to PLA. So, I have had to replace parts, make repairs. But this has been the workhorse on my fleet over several years. Hope this helps. See More
