Received solar panel and controller unit today. The kit looks good and instructions are fairly clear. But i was not sure about one thing: the wires on the solar panel come with battery clips as if to connect directly to 12 volt car battery - the diagram shows the battery wired to the controller unit, and the unit to the solar panel. I assume the battery clips are meant to be cut off ( leaving part length of wires ) in order to wire everything up.

this came quickly and had it up and charging my motorbike battery in no time at all

Solarpanel is about A/4 sized. It looks strong with this metal frame. I could not get more than 18Volts open and around 1Amps when shortcut. The controller is working fine.
