I had my doubts about this item, as it made a lot of claims relative to its modest cost. The RF detection part works OK, although it's not quite as sensitive or revealing as my trusty but considerably more costly G318 RF detector. Still it's good enough at this price point. Where the CX007 really shines is its ability to detect hidden cameras visually. There are two methods to do this. First, red LEDs send out light that reveals the lens of a camera as a bright spot when looking through a special red lens. Second, there is a bright white LED that triggers the day/night switch in most cameras, causing them to click and further aid you in their discovery. The CX007 also adds a very helpful set of alerts to the usual visual LEDs by including a buzzer alert and headphones for a audible alert that is discrete.
