works pretty all right although I'm not sure why the sharpening part comes off unless it's for storing a sharpening stone inside of it

Thank you for your fast response to replace the damaged goods. The sharpener arrived earlier than anticipated, in perfect condition in a good sealed package. After the first trials it works like charm. All three different grade sharpening slots work perfectly. It is a small wonder that made it possible to sharpen all my knives in my kitchen at a ridiculously low cost. I strongly recommended it without any reservation!
