I received the microscope in good time, great delivery, and great packaging. It works, and probably works right for the price paid for it. However, there are some aspects that I am not happy with, and for sure not what is advertised: - the magnification is not x1200 by far; - the focusing mechanism is absolutely imprecise, has backlash, and the transmission is by friction; - the 12MP is interpolated, I am very curious to find what sensor is used in this camera, or at least the native resolution of it; it rather looks like a 1.3 MP native resolution camera, I hope I am wrong; - the menus are not accessible once the USB connection is established, neither there is any possibility to switch between the initially selected mode of operations after the insertion of the USB cable; this means that the user will need to unplug the USB cable for switching the operation mode; - the micro-USB connector on the microscope is tight and wrongly placed, hard to insert a cable in it, and not every cable will fit - you will need a slim connector housing for it; - the supplied USB cable is short (3 feet) for such device; - the brightness of the LED ring is weak, even at maximum - it can partially be compensated by the exposure. Overall, a good device with some quirks, I believe a future version having these fixed will create a fantastic product, specially for the places where you cannot use an optical microscope.
