Fitted motor to scratch built model with a wingspan of 1200mm and weight of 1086grams with a 4s 2250mah lipo. Propeller 10x7, 50 amp hobbywing skywalker esc. Fantastic motor, handles upto 300w, really loves the 4s and the pull is amazing. This will be my goto motor for larger models. The only downside to this is its weight, but it is required to add cooling mass to the motor due to its power rating.

An excellent motor, very smooth and a reasonable price. My bench tests with a 40 amp ESC using 3 cells are as follows: 8 x 6 prop - 250 watts/23 amps. 9 x 6E - 270 watts/24 amps. 10 x 7 prop - 375 watts/35 amps. 11 x 6 prop - 380 watts/37 amps. The ESC became warm using the 10 & 11 inch props, so a larger capacity ESC would be advisable. Seems appropriate for planes 1.5 - 3.5 pounds.
