Because the 200 is when the carriages are in the upmost position. To reach the sides two of the need to go down and thereby decrease the usable height. But the small size has a lot of advantages: You use much less power. The plate is heating rather quickly and the construction is simple and stable enough for its purpose.

BG938419140 Mine could not even print a cube with equal sides or a circle with constant radius... If you want to print flexibles buy a printer with a direct extruder.
