CDS Trustee Update: Plugged this in, powered it up- be careful it will be ON as soon as you plug it in.Try not to burn your fingers or clothes with this soldering iron.At 250C setting on the tiny thermostat dial, the body did start to get warm after a couple minutes. I don't know yet if this will withstand the full power setting if it's used for long periods of time. Best to get a professional, insulated model if you are doing production work I think.

Have not plugged this in yet, have not tested the thermostatic heat control to verify the temperatures are accurate. Con: Frustratingly, the "review" system forces me to comment on every item in my order all at once. (I would prefer to only comment on the single item which I have examined so far.) Sadly, I won't be able to give an honest review of this soldering iron and you'll just have to accept

We all know we're taking a risk ordering direct from a faraway land. The risk is that an inexpensive unit may have quality control issues. The Hall Effect Magnetic Sensor for Arduino (and other hobby embedded computer boards) works with a magnet nearby. Only 1 out of 10 sensors failed to light the onboard red LED. The Banggood 3 day return, or 5 day replacement, warranty is much too short of a time
