HappyAndrew Right, found out the reason! Turns out my kettle became faulty right at the same time I fitted this!!!! New kettle and it does exactly what it says. Although it was not my day as when I put the new kettle on this, I think their server went down as the app told me it was off line, with 4 other sonoff devices I have. (but my internet was working fine) About an hour later, they all seemed to be back up and running! I love Sonoff as why would you ever buy the more expensive iot ?
