I ordered two of these, and on of them has wifi connection problems. Same situation, same wifi network, same firmware (ESPHOME). The one that does work works really well, bu QC is maybe a problem?

Works well. It was easy to find information online to connect it to an ESP32 running ESPHOME. After learrning the IDs of the key fob and the card, they get recognised quickly every time. Just works.

Arrived pretty quickly. Feels very light. I only load it with about 2-2,5A so in my application it doesn't have to work hard. It doesn't get hot at all under this load. I can't measure voltage ripple or anything, but I run 2 10W LED strips from this PSU and the light is rock solid. No flickering or whatever. Longevity is a question mark, but with this light load that should be fine.

Took a while to arrive, but they work fine. I use them on a banggood 12V power supply to light the inside of my laser butter enclosure. Build quality is quite good. They're straight, the soldering pads are just fine, the LEDs are in a nice straight line. The light is bright, the colour temperature is very cool, but that is fine for this application. They get quite warm, but not alarmingly so. Soldering pads are nice, had no trouble soldering wires to them. Only thing I can't test is longevity. I have to see how long they last, but I guess that as long they don't get too hot they'll be fine. For now, if I needed more LED strips, I'd buy more of these.

JeroenHaringman Well, the description says 800 watts at 12 volts. That's about 67 amps. So if you have, for instance, a 200 Ah battery, this unit may run somewhere between 2 and 3 hours.

I installed Raspberry Pi OS on it, and it has been running in a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W without any problem for a couple of weeks now. Have not tested it for longevity or speed, but it's basic functionality is fine.

Good servo, not very fast but quite powerful. I'm using it to move a needle on a gauge (Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W and PCA9685 board generate the PWM signal)), and for that is it excellent.

Ordered these for a small project, connected one to an ESP8266. Tested 2, worked without any problem. not very strong, not very precise, not very fast, but still useable. You get what you pay for, and if you don't need much, these are absolutely fine.

Units arrived quickly and work well. Packaging was barely enough but units were undamaged. Tested on an ESP8266 running Arduino. Installed the Adafruit PCA9685 library, and the example code worked without a problem. I'm having trouble getting it to run under Micropython, but that's not a problem with the units. Recommended.

Very educational to show my kids how a pin and tumbler lock works. Quality of the lock is okay... tolerances are on the large side, so this lock is fairly easy to rake open. Still fun, and a good first lock to try it on. The tools seem okay to me. Tension bars a little thick, I find it hard to insert in a normal lock, maybe I'll grind one down a little. Overall, good value for the price I think.

JeroenHaringman The seller's answer is absolute nonsense, the laser is 5.5 watts, definitely NOT 40 watts. I wish the seller would stop continuing this lie. the entire device (controller + stepper motors + laser) doesn't even draw 40 watts. I don't know if you can engrave stainless Steel, I've not tried that, but aim going to guess it may be difficult.

I've been using it for six months. This was my first laser cutter. The good stuff: * The price. The price is an order of magnitude lower than even basic CO2 laser cutters. The new generation of diode lasers really is a game changer. * It came with laser protection glasses (although I have no way of knowing how effective/safe they are). * It's very easy to assemble. The manual is clear, all parts are present, even some small tools are included. Well packaged. * It works right out of the box. The included software is basic, but easy to understand and use. * If you understand and stay within the limits of the laser (it is 5,5W, NOT 40W), cutting and engraving works very well for light plywood up to 3 mm. The mediocre stuff: * I soon reached the limits of the included software, and purchased Lightburn. There are other options. * The accuracy of the frame/stepper motors is limited. You can calibrate all you want, but sometimes a cut (for instance when closing a circle) just ends up ± 0.1mm away from where it should be. * The limited laser power means relatively slow cutting speeds. The bad stuff: * The marketing, no outright LIES, about the laser power. This is not 40W nor is it comparable to a 40W CO2 laser. It's a 5,5W laser, just call it that! * The cutter does not come with a case. This is bad for two reasons: safety and air pollution. In my opinion, no laser cutter should be sold without a case with a lid. * No ventilation system. This is NOT a device you just put in your living room like a printer. This thing generates smells, smoke, particulates and no doubt other unhealthy stuff. I built a closed wooded box around the cutter, suck the exhaust air out of it with a bathroom fan and a flexible harmonica-type hoses, and vent it out of a window. Again, in my opinion, no laser cutter should be sold without a proper ventilation system. But, when all is said and done, this is an affordable laser cutter, very good for light hobby work. I'm happy with the purchase.
