Could also be considered a switchable receiver relay. works great for aux lighting. There is a button under the shrink wrap that chances to a couple different modes.

For the money, it will do the job. I was kind of hoping the back-light would be brighter, but it will work. Purchased for a camper so I only will look at it a dozen times a year.
