I'm not using these for auto air conditioning, but I'm thinking they will be fine for general purpose O-Ring needs. This is a nice set with a handy plastic box that keeps them all organised. I have used one with a bottle that contains denatured ethanol (methylated spirits) and the HNBR material should have no problem with contact with this substance. In looking up HNBR I saw no real downsides for any application I would have and this set is a reasonable price for what you get. Would recommend.
